Playwright, translator, drama critic and broadcaster Sevgi Sanlı was born in İzmir, Turkey, and studied English Philology at Istanbul University.
She has written and translated many plays and musicals which have been produced by Turkish state theatres and operas as well as private companies.
Her plays and criticism have won her a number of awards, and she has lectured at several universities.
