The big chill

Tropical it ain't. After a tepid December and "the mildest New Year’s Eve in 130 years", according to Edwin (see Drood, And there’s another country ..., 3 January 2012), winter slammed in and temperatures across Europe plummeted to 20 below zero. Talk about being lulled into a false sense of security.
And, surprise, surprise, those of the My Favourite Planet team who hadn't already flown south or had their flu jabs went down like ninepins with colds and several other types of winter lurgy.
The editor tried to pressgang a few of the neighbours to take over this blog for February, but their typing skills proved somewhat below par. All they could manage was to pose and look cute for a few snapshots. So here they are, in all their winter glory.
Normal service will be resumed as soon as the Cheshire Cat crew have thawed out. More chicken soup, anyone? |
