Edwin has gone west again, but will return next month with more Droodian insight.
In the mean time, here is another poem by Hugh Featherstone. |

Erosion
Jealousy is residual stuff after doubt erodes the soil of love
Exposure reduces hardness to crumbs waste is all that it becomes
Eroded hearts displayed uncovered the wind may be their only lover
Not sleep nor dream nor hope just wait their dust is blown to another state
And there in a park as the wind blows by a speck of heart makes someone cry
From Bird under water, a selection of poems by Hugh Featherstone

Another poem from this selection will appear next time the Drood's away.
The Bird under water homepage includes a foreword by Hugh Featherstone and a linked list of the poems as they appear. |
