| In recent decades the Erechtheion has been among the buildings on the Acropolis which has received much care and attention from architects, engineers, archaeologists, restoration workers, geologists and other scientists, in efforts not only to preserve and restore the sanctuary but also to learn more about its history, construction and role as one of the most important sacred places of ancient Greek culture. |
