introduction to My Favourite Planet
 |
Some say the world's a small place. But if you have spent days on a bus through the Andes, or got lost among the labyrinth of streets of a Moroccan souk, or even been stranded at a remote border without the necessary visa, you may not agree.
It is becoming ever easier for some of us to travel to the remotest parts of our planet, but we could all do with a bit of help.
The aim of My Favourite Planet is to bring as much useful, reliable information for travellers onto one website as possible, so that you don't have to go searching all over the internet.
This is a continuous process, and it's going to take us a while to bring so many locations online, because our planet really is a big place.
We are committed to keeping this website as accurate, easy to read and use as possible. So, no annoying pop-ups, banners or weird programming. We will have some advertising to help pay the bills, but we try to keep it relevant to the needs of our readers.

what you will find at My Favourite Planet |
 |
|
As you read this, the My Favourite Planet team is out there busy researching and collecting more information about the world's business and holiday destinations.
Some information, such as exchange rates and transport schedules, is changing constantly. We endeavour to keep such information up-to-date. But where it becomes humanly impossible to do so (yes, this website is made by humans), or where info is subject to copyright restrictions, we will provide links to other specialist websites.
Here is the kind of information we aim to provide for My Favourite Planet locations:
 geography
location, index of places, topographical features
 history ancient and modern
"If you know your own history, then you know where you're coming from."
Bob Marley

"If you know your destination's history, then you know where you're going to."
