At the east end of the Acropolis lie parts of columns from the temple of Athena built before the Parthenon (see gallery page 13).
The view from eastwards here includes the Plaka district, Syntagma and the Vouli (parliament), Lykavittos Hill (also known as Lycabettus) and Mount Penteli beyond. |
